My Mom gave me the Gift of Life by choosing to bring me into this world when she could have aborted me. Her decision gave me the opportunity to be her legacy. I am her Legacy.
My mom gave me the Gift of Movement because my mom was a mover, she was always on the move. She didn’t even own a car, and she would always get to where she wanted to go. I am the same way; I am a mover.
My Mom gave me the Gift of Appreciation, Thoughtfulness and Gratitude because she showed her appreciation in the most sincere and thoughtful way.
A couple of years ago, I took my mom out for lunch to celebrate her being breast cancer-free. To express her gratitude, my mom sent me a cutout magazine picture of a woman holding a blanket with a beautiful poem on it to her daughter. Even though my mom didn’t order the blanket from the magazine for me, her thoughtfulness touched my heart. She taught me that I didn’t have to have all the fancy gifts to show appreciation and that my love and my sincere thoughtfulness is more than enough.
My Mom gave me the Gift of Gab, Boldness, and Friendship because of her bright and friendly spirit. She could literally talk to anyone, and she talked to everyone. Her openness taught me to be open and loving to others and to really see and hear people. She would always have me to pray or encourage people who I did not know because she believed in me. She saw me! She saw my gifts.
My Mom gave me the Gift to see that my life is Rich by showing me a unique perspective on wealth. One day my mom got into my car and saw a bunch of pennies on my car floor, she said, “Girl, you are rich.”
To me, they were just pennies, but to her, they symbolized something so much greater and that my life was rich. My Mom’s gift to you is to remind you that “You are Rich” and that your Life is Rich and Beautiful every time that you see a penny. Thank You.
On August 4th, 2024, my mom Karen Denise Peters passed away after a 15-month battle with pancreatic cancer. Despite the doctors’ prognosis that she wouldn’t survive beyond six months, my mom Karen exceeded their expectations. She was a true warrior, resilient to her core, drawing strength from her unwavering faith in God.
She will be forever missed, cherished and loved.

this is simply beautiful such an amazing and priceless way to honor your mother. She is definitely shining down on you and all those she is absent from the body and present with the Lord. She is in your heart.
