Read the Labels (Part 2)
Where do I start? I will start with the facts. Fact number one, I am a Mother of six children whose heart is to care for and protect my children. Fact number two, there are people in this World who are making products that can cause harm to children……….
Two weeks ago my children received a gracious donation of School Supplies and Backpacks from a local church. As I joyously went through my children’s backpacks, I noticed a piece of paper inside my eight year old sons Cool Marvel Spider-Man backpack, that reads at the top American Tourister Limited 10 Year Global Warranty.
As I read further down on the American Tourister Limited 10 Year Global Warranty, I noticed at the bottom of that warranty a warning label that reads: WARNING: This product can expose you to chemicals including Di(2-ethylhexyl) phthalate (DEHP), which is known to the state of California to cause cancer and birth defects and other reproductive harm. For more information go to http://www.P65Warnings.ca.gov.
Immediately outraged I jump up and yelled No!!! I had seen this warning label before in the past on other products that I even wrote an article about it titled: Read the Labels, Warning: This Product Contains…. Check the article here . I wrote that article back in 2016 so that people would be Aware and Take Action to protect their Love-ones. Now seeing this warning label again and even labeled on the tag of my son’s Spider-Man Backpack just showed me that these manufacturers are not going to stop nor do they care that they will cause harm to us and our children. I must do something to stop them. We must do something to STOP them.
What Can We Do?
1. We can SHARE this information with as many people that we know.
2. We can CALL American Tourister at 1-800-262-8282 and demand for them to Remove and Recall all Backpacks with the warning labels and any backpacks with chemicals that can cause harm. Also RETURN all American Tourister Backpack with the Warning Labels.
3. We can WRITE our State Senators and let He or She know about this issue at http://www.senate.gov
4. We can BE A VOICE. To all my Moms, Dads, Teachers, Students, YouTubers, Bloggers, Beauty Influencers, Speakers and Business Owners your Voice Matters. Please do your part to protect your Love-ones.

It’s disgusting to me that instead of taking the item off the market because they are fully aware it causes cancer, they slap on a label that says hey we told you so!! No regulations. No law protecting them. It’s infuriating. Thank you for the eye opener.
